Security & Surveillance Projects: See Our Work

Tell us what you need to see

The property, the areas you want covered, how long you need to keep footage and your timeline are enough to start. We come back with next steps and a site visit if needed.

What do you need help with?

Commercial Surveillance Services

Cameras, recording, analytics and network designed together, so the footage is there and usable when you need it.

CCTV & IP camera systems

4K dome, bullet, turret and multi-sensor cameras placed for coverage, not just count, with clear footage in low light and on wide exterior views.

Exterior dome camera installed under a slatted soffit

Facial & license plate recognition

Identify people at entrances and automate vehicle entry at garages and gated lots, tied into your access control for one record of who came and went.

Technician testing a network rack that carries camera traffic

Remote monitoring & mobile access

Live view, playback and alerts from a phone or browser for one site or fifty, with user roles so managers only see the cameras they should.

AI video analytics

Motion, people and vehicle detection, loitering and crowd alerts, and appearance search so you find the event in seconds instead of scrubbing hours of video.

NVR, cloud & hybrid recording

On-site NVRs sized for your retention policy, cloud recording for off-site copies, or a hybrid of both that keeps footage safe if hardware is stolen or damaged.

Access control integration

Door events matched to video automatically, so every badge swipe, forced door or tailgating alert comes with the clip attached.

How We Plan a Camera System

We work through these four points with you during design, before any equipment is ordered.

Coverage & resolution

Camera type, lens and pixel density chosen for each view, from reading a plate at the gate to watching a sales floor.

Network & storage

PoE switching, VLANs and recording capacity sized for your camera count, frame rate and how many days you need to keep.

Cybersecurity

Cameras and recorders on a segmented network with hardened firmware, encrypted remote access and no default passwords.

Integration

One platform that ties cameras to access control, alarms, intercoms and your IT so alerts land in one place.

Industries We Serve

Camera systems designed for how each property is used and what it needs to protect.

Our Surveillance Installation Process

Four cameras or four hundred, the sequence is the same, and every view is checked before handover.

  1. Site survey

We walk the property with you, note the entrances, blind spots, lighting and cable paths, and review any existing cameras worth keeping.

  2. Camera plan & design

A camera-by-camera plan with fields of view, resolution, recording retention and the network and storage behind it.

  3. Cabling & network

Low-voltage cabling, PoE switching and a segmented camera network pulled while walls are open where possible.

  4. Installation

Cameras mounted, aimed and focused by our crews, recorders racked and labeled, after hours in occupied buildings.

  5. Configuration & analytics

Recording schedules, motion zones, analytics rules, user roles and mobile access set up and tested with you.

  6. Training & monitoring

Your team learns live view, playback and export, then our help desk and remote monitoring keep the system healthy.

Surveillance Monitoring & Maintenance

DIST monitors enrolled cameras and recorders remotely, keeps a help desk answering 24/7 and sends engineers on site when a camera, switch or drive needs attention.

  • Remote health monitoring of cameras and recorders
  • Camera cleaning, re-aiming and lens checks
  • Firmware and security updates
  • Storage expansion as retention needs grow
  • Footage export assistance for incidents
  • Support for systems installed by other integrators

CCTV & surveillance questions

Cost, cameras, recording and analytics, answered.

How much does a commercial CCTV system cost?

It depends on the number of cameras, the resolution and analytics you want, how many days of footage you keep and how much cabling the building needs. After a site survey we send a fixed, itemized proposal so you can compare camera and storage options line by line.

How many cameras do I need?

Enough to cover every entrance, cash or inventory point and blind spot without gaps, which is usually fewer than people expect once multi-sensor and wide-angle cameras are placed well. The camera plan from our survey shows each field of view before anything is ordered.

What does AI video analytics actually do?

It classifies what the camera sees, so instead of motion alerts from a tree you get alerts for a person at the loading dock after hours or a vehicle in a fire lane, and you can search footage by person or vehicle description.

Why Avigilon?

DIST is a certified Avigilon integrator. Avigilon by Motorola Solutions combines high-resolution cameras with deep-learning analytics and is trusted in corporate campuses, luxury condos, hospitality and mission-critical sites. We also install Axis, Bosch, Hikvision and Hanwha when they fit better.

Should I record on site or in the cloud?

On-site NVRs are cost-effective for long retention and many cameras. Cloud recording protects footage if the recorder is stolen or damaged and simplifies multi-site access. Most of our clients run a hybrid, and we size both for your retention policy.

Can I view my cameras from my phone?

Yes. Every system we install includes secure remote viewing with live video, playback and alerts on a phone or browser, with user roles so each manager sees only their cameras.

Can cameras work with my access control system?

Yes. We integrate cameras with access control so door events are matched to video automatically, and facial or license plate recognition can grant entry.

Can you upgrade or take over an existing camera system?

Yes. We reuse cabling and cameras that still perform, replace what does not, and bring everything onto one platform. We also support systems installed by other integrators.

Where do you install surveillance systems?

Nationwide. We handle single sites and multi-site rollouts across the United States.

Planning a new or upgraded camera system?

Tell us the property, the areas you need covered and the timeline. A DIST engineer will survey the site, then come back with a camera plan, a schedule and a number.
